Job Summary
The General Accounting Analyst will support TCW’s Corporate Accounting team in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, regulatory filings, and audits. The role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of accounting data within TCW’s ERP environment (Workday). This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with onshore finance and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and filings to ensure compliance with relevant governing bodies.
- Support internal and external audits, including regulatory audits, by providing requested documentation and reconciliations.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and validate accounting records in the ERP system (Workday), ensuring appropriate controls and documentation.
- Partner with onshore Corporate Accounting to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and reporting standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of all assigned processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting within financial services.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and audit processes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday Financials strongly preferred).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong follow-up discipline.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across time zones and functions.
