SAP FICO Functional Architect

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP FICO modules, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to align SAP functionalities with enterprise financial goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, a Chartered Accountant or a an ICMA
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
• Certification in SAP FICO or S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP FICO modules (GL, AR, AP, AA, CO, PCA, CCA, COPA, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA Finance, New GL, Asset Accounting, and Central Finance.
• Knowledge of Fiori apps, SAP BTP, and Embedded Analytics is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to understand and document financial requirements.
• Configuration & Customization: Configure SAP FICO modules (GL, AR, AP, AA, CO, etc.) and recommend enhancements to meet business needs.
• Integration & Data Migration: Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP) and third-party systems; oversee data migration strategies.
• S/4HANA Migration: Lead ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, ensuring best practices and optimized workflows.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure SAP FICO solutions comply with regulatory standards (IFRS, GAAP, SOX) and company policies.
• Performance Optimization: Identify system inefficiencies and implement improvements for performance and scalability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between IT, finance, and business units to ensure alignment of technology with financial goals.
• Training & Support: Provide training, documentation, and support for end-users and SAP functional teams.
